Make a Pledge Campaign

We set up pledge walls at universities across Ghana, inspiring students to commit to responsible antibiotic use. With over 500+ pledges from students at the University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, and University for Development Studies, each commitment reflects a personal promise to follow prescriptions correctly, avoid self-medication, and raise awareness about antimicrobial resistance within their communities.

Our members turned their social media profiles blue and shared impactful AMR content. Through posts, reels, and infographics, we reached hundreds online, sparking meaningful discussions on antimicrobial resistance and its importance.

How to talk about AMR

As future pharmacists, pharmacy students are uniquely positioned to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR) through antibiotic stewardship. We engaged students at the University of Ghana, Legon, in an interactive session on effectively communicating with patients about AMR. Through real-life scenarios and practical tips, we emphasized the importance of patient education on proper antibiotic use. These future pharmacists are now better equipped to advocate for responsible antibiotic use in their careers.

FDA Workshop on Stewardship

We hosted a workshop at the FDA Ghana Head Office, discussing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) in Ghana. The session highlighted the critical role of young people in combating AMR, emphasizing their power to drive change through advocacy, education, and responsible antibiotic use.
